Comcast is completing Phase 2 of the Network Enhancement Project.  Work will primarily occur along Heritage Hills Parkway.

In July 2025, Comcast/Xfinity completed Phase 1 of a network upgrade that improved overall capacity and reliability for the Heritage Hills community. Building on that investment, Comcast is now preparing for Phase 2 of the network enhancement project, which will deploy Full Duplex DOCSIS (FDX) technology to approximately 70% of the neighborhood.

Key highlights of this upgrade include:

  • Support for up to 2 Gigabit symmetrical speeds (equal upload and download), targeted for launch later this year
  • Infrastructure that is future-ready for multi-gigabit expansion up to 10 Gigabits
  • No cost to the community or residents for this infrastructure investment

To complete this work, limited directional drilling will be required to install additional underground fiber and add two new fiber nodes within Heritage Hills. These improvements will further reduce congestion and improve network performance during peak usage periods.

Construction activities for Phase 2 are scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 26th, with an estimated completion time of two weeks. Work will primarily occur along Heritage Hills Parkway, including junction placements behind:

  • 9465 Vista Hill Lane
  • 10143 S Shadow Hill Drive

The third and final phase will complete the remaining portion of Heritage Hills and will involve additional directional drilling to install one more fiber optic node along Heritage Hills Parkway. The existing node serving this area is located at the northeast corner of Heritage Hills Parkway and S. Yosemite St. New fiber will be installed from that location to an area behind 9416 E Aspen Hill Ln.

The goal for Comcast is to fully upgrade and activate the entire Heritage Hills community before the end of summer while coordinating closely with the Metro District throughout the process.
